We went to Palm Bay Florida to visit family for Christmas and decided to show my dog his first beach-I was not aware dogs were not allowed until after I left, fyi. The beach was clean and water was beautiful. There are bathrooms, outdoor showers, grills, picnic tables and more. The parking is free and has long boardwalks that take you to the beach, some with picnic tables or benches, and a lot of trash cans. There are 2 parks with about a mile separating them. There is a 7-11 across from the second for any snacks or drinks you may want. Overall a nice place that is well maintained.

Had so much fun looking for shells this week! Piles and piles of them had washed ashore! We also got to see a rocket launch from the beach! Awesome FREE experience!

Melbourne, FL. Free parking near a bathroom, wow! This beach is about a mile south of the cute historic area of Melbourne on A1A. It’s a no frills beach popular with no frills locals. We came on a Saturday and there was a lot of parking. I did see two blue jellyfish so keep an eye out as you walk the shore for anything that looks like a clear balloon or bubble. It sure was a pretty jellyfish and big! It was five inches long (see photo). There aren’t a lot of shells on this beach but it’s popular and I saw a lot of young people in the water.

This is our go-to beach. I love it in almost any weather! Today we went when it was raining/misty. Just watch out for turtle nests, and rip currents. Also make sure you have sunscreen. And for the sake of the world clean up after yourself. The amount of sunglasses, trash, and other things we find are sad. Nobody wants to clean up after you!
