Leaving a review about the tennis courts here. Overall Playable. The surface material is still in good shape, but there are already some quite large cracks. We hit the cracks a few times causing weird bounces. Good place for very casual plays. The courts here are generally quite busy. No lighting. No restroom.

I've lived in the area for 1 year now and I must say that this park is great. Large green areas where people picnic, play sports, tan, read, and bring their dogs. The entire park is about half a mile in a circle and their are plenty of people jogging around. The park also contains a playground area for kids and a 2 tennis courts. Located in a quiet neighborhood with not much car traffic. During the late afternoon is when the playgrounds and tennis courts get packed with people bringing their kids. Even very late at night there are still people doing their walks. No matter the time of day I have felt very safe being in the park as I walk my dog around 5 30am every day as well as anywhere from 9 to 11pm. The grass grows pretty quickly and gets cut about once a month. There are plenty of benches and tables to sit and eat at. People that frequent the park have been friendly at least the ones I've met. Parking is also plentiful. The only complaint I have is during the week of July 4th there were so many instances of people lighting fireworks which was very noisy.

My lil man is 2 and a half and we love love this park so much. A little hidden gem with so much for them to do. Free from any vagrants and litter. A park where I feel safe with my lil guy even later in the evening. Featuring 3 different playground sets. 1 for babies 1 for toddlers and the other for maybe ages 5 and above? Lots of swings too and even a grassy area for them to run on. And also a sand pit so if your child likes to play in sand be sure to bring beach toys for hours of entertaining! The only downside is there are no restrooms

Most of our reviews will be coming from fresh eyes. Due to the fact that I am originally from Texas and recently have relocated to California. What seems usual and standard to most Californians, to me is refreshing and original. So pardon my expression if I seem a little overly excited to the simple things. With that being said my review of Townsend Park in San Jose California is as follows The park is not by far a standard smaller Park than I'm used to in Texas but it is not as large as some of the parks I have seen in California. Still it's tranquil scenery, spaced out areas, and the convenience of having small little workout sections following along the trail all the way around the park is unique. So you're able to get your walk on get your run on play with the children and do a little curl ups some sit-ups and etc all the way around the park. I'm a nature lover so I love the aesthetics that the trees bring into the equation. There's enough space for the children. The amenities for them is well supplied. They do offer a tennis court. Picnic benches. And even a small section of a collective variety of workout equipment next to the play area near the children. So I rate this part an easy five stars! Enjoy.

This park is always busy. During midday and morning there is a group exercise. Lots of different ages. Lots to do. Plenty of room for dogs. Dogs are leashed but there is also unleashed play.
