T.Y. Park in Hollywood, Florida, is a wonderfully versatile green space that blends nature, recreation, and relaxation in one accessible location. Nestled amidst a canopy of mature trees and surrounding a central lake, it offers something for a wide range of visitors—from families to joggers to those simply seeking a quiet walk outdoors.
What stands out:
The walking/jogging/biking trail around the lake is well-maintained, shaded, and ideal for an easy stroll or a more focused workout. For families, there are picnic pavilions, playgrounds, and a splash-play area or small water-park section, making it a solid choice for kids. The natural setting is strong: there are plenty of trees for shade, water views at the lake, and even glimpses of wildlife (birds, squirrels, etc.) that help ground the space in peacefulness.
Parking may incur a fee and can become busier during weekends or special events.
If you’re looking for a park that offers a meaningful outdoor experience—whether you’re writing, reflecting, exercising, playing, or simply sitting and watching nature—T.Y. Park delivers. It bridges the ease of urban access with the calm of natural surroundings. I’d particularly recommend it if you want a space to pause, listen to your thoughts, and maybe jot down ideas in a notebook, letting the setting support the “authentic, connected to nature” that sometimes we need to explore.

Decided to go on one of my daily walks. However, I chose TY Park. Haven't visited this park in years, so I was ready to double back. Just as I remembered, it didn't disappoint. The park/walking trail was free of debris and enough space for both walkers, joggers, and bikers alike.
Parking isn't free, but it is affordable, and there are plenty of spots to choose from throughout the park along with covered picnic tables. There are lots of trees for shade, an area with restrooms, lots of greenery for beautiful photos, and a lake in the center that beams with natural beauty.
There is also a fenced section for RV's. It's such a lovely park.

The best park ever. Super spacious with lots of shade from trees. The wild life especially birds are amazing. I've been going there since I was a kid and now I bring my kid.
