They are constantly having private events and closing the playground for adult functions. Today a group was discussing the mural… which is cool. It’s a mural worthy of world renown and it should be a tourist destination… But why can’t they discuss the mural while the neighborhood kids are playing. They weren’t painting it… they were filming it… it’s just disrespectful. When neighbors walk for blocks and take the bus to get to the park, and even those that drive.. it’s just insulting to market themselves as serving underserved communities and then constantly be closed to the community.

Beautiful mural in this small park. The art is the history of the Philippines and their migration to the US.

The park is closed for the day at random times by a woman with the key, not at the times listed. Today I went there at 4:30pm and she was kicking everyone out to lock it.

Beautiful little spot to break up your walk. Lots of shade, benches, and things to play with. They just need to add a restroom.

Tiny neighborhood park has everything but the grass in the space of two store fronts. These "micro" parks help kids stay active and adults stay social. An important part of any urban neighborhood.
