Great place to go for a walk. It was designed by John Bogart and John Cuyler who were inspired by the philosophy of Frederick Law Olmsted; the architect of central park and the US Capitol. The park resembles central park with its open spaces and winding paths. Dogs are welcome, but please clean up after them. There is the Amphitheatre which seats 900 and hosts concerts, the tulip festival, and other local events. One of the nicest parks in Albany for sure.

Expansive city park with lots of paths, benches, trees, and hills. Its within walking distance of downtown and makes for a nice place to relax or stroll

I feel so lucky to have moved down the street from this incredible park. It's awesome for walking, connecting with nature, picnics and photography. I've been watching the tulips explode for the last few weeks and it's just a spectacular sight. Love this park so much.

Such a gorgeous park! My friend and I stopped in to see the tulips and to walk around after getting off work last week and the gardens were spectacular. I hope to visit earlier next year to see even more in bloom.

I visited from Queens, NY. I enjoyed the rose Harden very much with its 100's of roses in one area that one had never seen before in my entire life. I totally recommend a nature walk. The park is hilly but good for a hiking trail or just an afternoon stroll.
