The horse camp here is small but extremely nice! We were camping with our newborn when he had a reaction to a wipe we used and had to go to the ER. Park Ranger Bridget checked up on my horse to be sure she had food and water. Then pulled my phone # off her halter to text me the gate code for when we got back. This is the perfect place to camp for short rides and easy access to city amenities should you need it.

I made cupcakes and the cake for the newly Weds along with some pea salad for the after party there. We all had a nice time. The place was great to gather at and the people I met were very nice. I saw them enjoy the food. and my cakes. Which was great. I think everyone was happy with the location and the whether we had

$10 entrance fee. We went to ride bikes on the paved paths. My thrifty father made it very clear that he felt it was very worth the price. Miles of paved path, lots of beautiful scenery.

Easy walk through forest wonderland! I'll be moving soon or this would be going on my regular rotation. Fall foliage was stunning! Their card reader wasn't working for my debit card, they do have a cash pay drop though or use an oregon state park pass. Absolutely worth the short drive from Salem!

My young daughter and I love to ride bikes here and camp. The campground is available only to hikers and bikers (no cars parked anywhere on the park grounds after hours). It is always very clean and the Ranger staff are friendly. Special shout out to Ranger Sean who retrieved a (very loved) stuffed animal we left there and we were able to get it back home!
