Great location for first timers trail runners and those recovering from injuries. I needed to test the healing of my injury to see if I could run yet. I needed a short distance with easy paths in case I needed to turn around and limp back. This provided both. Hard to get lost, well marked trail and so many people there, easy enough to ask if you get turned around. Even better, if one is more healed than expected, there are more moderate and challenging paths shooting off from the main circle. Rockier, up and down hill. Able to push harder if your recovered injury allows. View as always, beautiful. Tiny parking lot but easy street parking near and no bathrooms nor any place to sneak off and hide to go.

The most magical lake especially in this sunny day morning, the mountains, trees, houses even the waterfowls will be reflected into the lake surfaces, peaceful and calming.it is great to spend hours or more to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The park guide tell us the lake and lakeshore are extremely fragile, please keep and protect the environmental systems.

Great little neighborhood lake on the north side of Boulder. Beautiful misty/moody morning for a short Mother’s Day hike. The main trail up to and around the lake is flat and is covered with small gravel, which makes it easy to walk on. There are small trails to the lakeside, which are a little muddier. We saw beautiful geese, and the sounds of many birds in the marshes were astounding!

Stunningly beautiful. A fairly easy path with great views and a calm energy surrounding it. Feels far away from the hustle of downtown Boulder even though it’s not far away. Definitely an area I plan to return to again!

A majestic stroll in the heart of Boulder. Very easy trail, made for hiking, biking, running, dog walking or quiet deliberation. On a Tuesday, 8am, it was a bit busy yet still lovely. The name fits perfectly.
