Beautiful dog park. Trails through a pollinators prairie and two docks with ramps to make it easy for dogs to go in and get our of the water. There are picnic tables throughout in shady areas. Dane County parks are top notch. Would recommend, especially if your dog enjoys going for a swim.

My dog and I start our days here. 1/ Beauty - lake views, sky views, wildflowers in summer. 2/ Lots to do for dogs. Nosing around the huge meadow, the swamp, the lake, the woods, the holes along the lake banks. 3/ Very friendly dogs and owners. 4/ Clean and well maintained. No issues with people picking up their pet's poop. 5/ A large park with lots of walking trails. You can get your exercise, too. 6/ For people: Picnic tables. A couple benches. 7/ For dogs: 2 jumping platforms with ramps, for playing in the lake. 8/ Lotus flowers/water lilies in summer. 8/ Next door to a restored prairie with more walking trails (must leash). 9/ Ample parking. 10/ Excellent boost for brain chemicals.

**Dog Park Review: Paws and Play Park** Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) If you're looking for a fantastic spot to let your furry friend run free, Paws and Play Park is the place to be! Nestled in the heart of the city, this dog park offers a perfect blend of space, safety, and community for both dogs and their owners. **Amenities:** Paws and Play Park boasts a large, fenced-in area that is divided into sections for small and large dogs, ensuring that every pup can play without worry. The grass is well-maintained, and there are plenty of shaded spots for those hot days. There are also agility equipment and play structures that keep the dogs engaged and entertained. **Cleanliness:** One of the standout features of this park is its cleanliness. The management does an excellent job of maintaining the grounds, with plenty of waste disposal stations and bags readily available. The park is regularly mowed, and the trash bins are emptied frequently, making it a pleasant experience for everyone. **Community:** The dog owners who frequent Paws and Play Park are friendly and responsible. It’s a great place to meet fellow dog lovers and share tips about training and care. There’s a sense of community, and you’ll often find organized playdates or events that bring everyone together. **Safety:** Safety is a top priority here. The double-gated entry ensures that dogs can’t escape while entering or exiting. Additionally, there are benches for owners to sit and watch their pets while enjoying the company of others. The park also has good visibility, so you can keep an eye on your pup no matter where they are playing. **Overall Experience:** Paws and Play Park is a fantastic destination for dog owners looking to let their pets socialize and burn off some energy.
