What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
Oh my God, we love this dog park plenty of room for the dogs to Rome. They have it separate for big dogs and little dogs, but we have yet to see an aggressive animal out there. There's a lot of great owners and well-behaved dogs.
Read more about Meadow Vista Dog ParkSycamore Grove Park is a beautiful and peaceful outdoor destination with extensive trails for hiking, running, and walking through rolling hills, gardens, and scenic creekside areas. The park offers great opportunities to see wildlife and birds and is well maintained and relaxing. Located close to Livermore wineries, it’s easy to pair a nature visit with wine tasting. Visitors are advised to stay on designated pathways to avoid hazards such as rattlesnakes, ticks, and other wildlife, especially during warmer months. Parking has a fee.
Read more about Sycamore Grove ParkIt has a nice dog park that has two fenced sections with the larger section for dogs 20 pounds or larger, and the smaller section is for dogs (you guessed it) that weigh less than 20 pounds. There are a few water bowls in the fenced in area, but it will require you to just step outside of that area to refill them. In addition to the dog park, there's a small playground for little ones, a decently sized grass area to kick or toss balls around and and extended Greenway though the nearby neighborhood. Vehicle parking near the park is very limited, so parking at the playground might be the best option, but keep in mind this parking is not large either. Overall, a really nice neighborhood park.
Read more about Bruno Canziani Neighborhood ParkUpdate 04.23.24: Beautiful park, but needs to have structure or other sun shading as there's no reprieve from the sun on this playground. Black playground equipment gets extremely hot especially for kids in shorts! Great neighborhood park, nicely maintained. Large grass field for sporting events - soccer game was in process when our family was there. Children's playground area pretty basic, not as large as other parks in the area. Street parking can be tight. We had a problem with a couple different people allowing their dogs to run off-leash, even when they saw us coming. We'll never understand why some think it's ok to break the city ordinance that all dogs must be on leash at all times unless it is a designated off leash area, which this is not. This made an otherwise nice afternoon very unpleasant as we had to turn and leave the area right away as other dogs approached ours, who has been bitten by a dog before. We didn't see any restrooms on-site.
