On contrary to the expectations, the lakeshore adjacent to the park, didn't seem to be active at the time of our visit, on a national holiday! A small walking trail, benches and a Pavilion but mostly covered with ducks and their reliefs! Maintenance could be better ! The memorial for the 9/11 twin tower is very patriotic and commendable. Kudos to the artist! The private boating activities were kind of busy ! The Ambitheater seemed impressive though !

Thank You Decatur Park District for putting on "Trees On Tees" every year! It is a wonderful community event for people of all ages to enjoy! This event is professionally organized from the parking, checking in, golf cart ride, Santa's house, hot chocolate stand, and so much more! The holiday dancers were fabulous! Thank you to the business sponsors and volunteers for making this an enjoyable event for all!
