What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
Large mowed grass field with soccer goals (2 large, one small. Small playground slides, swings (some toddler), and benches. It does have a fenced in dog park (divided for small and large breeds). Good if you want to bring your dog. Or warning if you or your child is leary of animals. We had no issues with the dogs (not currently a dog owner, have been in the past). However, one owner left angry (and with non child friendly language).
Read more about H. P. Thomas ParkI do petsitting and bring the dogs I watch (and my own) here often. It's a nice sized park with a small dog park separated but attached to the main park. The only reason for 4 stars is because of some of the other dog owners. There are a few regulars that come and don't pay attention to their dog or care what it does. I've had to confront one particular older lady with 2 herding breeds. Her dogs are very sweet with people but aggressive to the point I've had to shove her dog off of mine because of biting. But besides a FEW owners, the park is great. It also has water fountains for dogs that are on when the weather isn't freezing.
Read more about Bark Park at H.P. Thomas ParkWe go here quite a bit. Never many dogs when we're there. Shelters are great in theory but don't provide much actual shade or protection. Poop bags are often gone, so watch your step. Also, I can't take my dog before work because the gates aren't open yet. Still appreciate having a place to let her run.
