2 playgrounds, both are very new equipment. Super nice! Gazebo, picnic tables, and a trail.. small kid & dog friendly!
Read more about Pennzoil McManus ParkThe lighthouse is in front of the welcome center. If you are there stop at the welcome center. The inside is beautiful and was decorated for fall. There are 2 floors with a gorgeous staircase but also an elevator. There are spots for sitting inside and outside on the porch. A little gift shop with some local items. There is a theater upstairs with 2 different shows. I think one was about Katrina but we weren't there during the show. Well worth a stop!
Read more about Lighthouse ParkNice little park for the kids. Clean pavilion with BBQ grill. Wheelchair and special needs friendly playground equipment. All in the shade under beautiful live oaks.
Read more about Lopez ParkConsidering how expensive this piece of land must be, it's pretty shocking how much this playground is in such disrepair. There is broken rusty pieces and jagged plywood on the single slide piece, some tall poles that obviously used to be play equipment that has been removed, a broken swing. the fence is falling down. Considering the location, I'm surprised it's not actually a nice park. You would think the city would fix it up during the winter so it would be nice for the summer
