What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
This dog park is well maintained and has a really nice trail leading to the off-leash area. There’s a creek along the way that dogs can play in, which I imagine is especially great during the summer. The off-leash area itself is pretty large. It’s not the most lively dog park — I’ve gone a couple times and been the only person or one of just a few — but when there are dogs, both the dogs and owners have been friendly. I’ve also noticed a good mix of both small and big dogs. One thing to keep in mind is that the bathrooms are closed during the winter, but there is a porta potty available. Overall, it’s a great option if you’re looking for a calmer, more low-key park.

Read more about Snyder's Corner ParkThe east side has the best parks. Jasper's is the perfect size with lots of shade from trees, steep hills, and lots of p-mail. The reason it did not get a 5 start is that it's not well maintained. The gate locks are difficult to open, and the only seating is up steep grades covered in bark. As a person who uses crutches to walk, this is the least friendly park. What I'd like to see a bench nearer the entrance, and the little dog park extended to the lower gate area with accommodation seating.. The fences are falling apart, and blackberry stickers are taking over, too. A work party is overdue. With that, this is a reeeelly nice park. It just needs a little tlc and thoughtful seating.
