What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
I took our 7 year old Golden retriever here on his birthday. Peter, the owner, greeted us and showed us around. Bourne had a life vest put on him with a leash attached to start, since it was his first time here. After throwing his ball in 3x, and proving he could swim, the vest and leash were removed. We continued with a 30 minute swim, and then took about 30 minutes to bathe him and blow dry him. Great experience. Will definitely come back.

Read more about MKE Dog ParkThe County Grounds I've been a long time favorite place to get outside and get away from it all, in the middle of it all. Wildflowers dominate the hilly plains where long trails meander and disappear through the grass. From the top of Discovery drive and be gathering circle, you can see much over the distance. Trees at the Forest Exploration Center to the North and the old asylum wellness trails to the East can cover you and pull civilization that much further away. Expect to see a few dogs enjoying nature while on your hike; this has long been a favorite place for dog lovers to let their furry ones out for a run.
