Read more about La Laguna PlaygroundIn the quiet, upscale neighborhood of San Marino, Lacy Park is a lush and peaceful escape from the city buzz — a true Southern California gem for nature lovers, families, and anyone in need of a serene stroll. It feels like the second Beverly Hills. 🌳 Atmosphere & Landscape: The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by expansive green lawns, majestic trees, and winding paths that invite you to wander. It’s impeccably maintained, with beautifully trimmed rose gardens and seasonal blooms that make every visit feel different. Whether you’re coming to picnic, jog, read under a tree, or just sit with your thoughts, this park gives you space and stillness. 🌸 Rose Garden & Arboretum: One of Lacy Park’s highlights is its rose garden, especially magical in spring and early summer. It also features an impressive variety of trees and plants, making it feel like a miniature botanical garden — perfect for photography or a romantic walk. 🧺 Amenities & Activities: There are benches, picnic areas, open spaces for frisbee or yoga, and a loop trail that’s great for jogging or walking laps. Read more about Lacy ParkI finally visited Almansor Park even though it’s so close to my house, and it turned out to be a really nice spot. It’s a big park with plenty of space to walk in loops — perfect for getting your steps in. Dogs are allowed on leash, though I did notice quite a few off-leash, so something to be mindful of. The park has a pond with lots of waterfowl, which adds a nice touch of nature, but it also means the main gazebo seating area is pretty covered in droppings. If you want a clean place to sit, the benches a little further from the pond are much better. There’s also a neat “Alhambra” statue/sign that makes for a cool photo op. Overall, it’s a pleasant community park that’s great for a stroll, but I’d avoid the gazebo area if you’re planning to sit and relax.
Read more about Almansor Park⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rosemead Park truly has everything a family could need. From the moment you arrive, you’re surrounded by rich greenery and beautiful scenery that instantly feels calming and restorative. One of the best parts is that it’s connected to the Rosemead Recreation Center, which includes a swimming pool and a skate park — such an amazing bonus for kids and teens. There are multiple playground areas, plenty of barbecue and picnic spaces, and so much room to spread out and enjoy the day. The huge open field is incredibly healing. Whether you want to play kickball, run freely, or just sit and meditate, there’s space to do it. They also have a great basketball court, which adds even more variety for families. Another detail that really stood out: the bathrooms are stocked with soap and warm water. That level of care matters. With the high school right next door, it truly feels like a central, safe, community-centered space. Five stars all the way — this park is a gem for families.
