The park is great for toddlers, teenagers, adults, and even pets. I'm visiting a friend who lives in this area. However, it does need to be repainted and a couple of trash and recycling bins around. While I was here I tried to clean around so my daughter and I could enjoy it. Would greatly appreciate if the city help this park be renovated

The small dog section is limited to dogs 20 lbs and under. The perimeter is 0.25 miles which makes it small enough to keep an eye on your dog but large enough for some fun and romping around. There is a covered pavilion with picnic tables and waste cans. One negative comment about the dog park area is that there are no nearby restrooms, for humans ;), only porta-potties. That's disappointing for an otherwise terrific public resource, park area.

Pontiac Recreational Area is an amazing place to go out with friends or by yourself. It has a decent sized beach, a great nature trail and tons of scenic sites. The beach is perfect for a picnic, lots of tables and barbecues on the grass. There’s a dog park and fishing piers. This is my go to area for walks or to watch the sunset.

We didn’t come for the dog park but it looked huge. It was too busy to stop by with our dog, so we hiked the trails behind the dog park. Wide, well manicured and quiet. Will be here more often
