What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
Great place to take your dog. People are very friendly. They have 2 areas just in case you want to keep dog separated from others. They have plenty to poop stations to grab a bag and throw it away. Only 1 Dog waterer in large play area. 2 separate picnic areas with covers and 2 large picnic tables. 4 benches scattered though out. They take fairly good care of it every Thursday. There has been a muddy spot by the 2 benches where most people gather due to maybe a broken sprinkler head. The dogs have dog a few holes that get filled with dirt weekly but the dogs keep digging. There are a few balls to toss around. All in all a great place. I take my dog almost every day so she can socialize and play and run.

Read more about Cañada Vista ParkI have lived up here in RSM o er 35 years and have sadly only taken my late Sadie here a handful of times ( inside ) the small dog park I did more after it was remodeled. Now after losing my sweet 15 1/2 Sadie I brought my 5 mo old Lab / Pug mix Kobie-Star for her first dog park experience and she had a blast ( she is a puppy ) lol . She met a fun large puppy named Rosie and they both played and played running along the fence with each other for over 20 mins. My two complaints are -1. The big Mud Hole in the small dog park . Kobie-Star had just had a bath so running through a deep mud hole when there wasn’t any rain is a problem with drainage . 2. The amount of dog poop on the way to the dog park along the trail is RIDICULOUS!! People if you have a DOG - PICK UP after your dog - why should we or everyone else step in it or have to look at it ? There is so much poop appears it has been there for weeks . I don’t want to go back for those two reasons. Please RSM fix the drainage we shouldn’t have to have a MUDDY PUPPY in our car - we pay enough in dues and I don’t have kids using the Samlarc lagoon and water fixture - so please keep up out Dog Park / we only have one ( small one ) . Thank you . PS. My 5 mo lab / mix fit through the gate to get to the large dogs . I was watching her and was only two dogs there but scary she squeezed through . Watch your small dogs !!
Read more about Cañada Vista Dog ParkThere are several gaps in the fences around the small dog area in which they can escape or cross over into the large dog area. None of that matters much because people with big dogs have no quams about using the small dog area. Friendly or not, size matters when one's dog only weighs 10 lbs.
