What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
A great place to bring your dog, if you don't have other options and don't mind you or your pet interacting with potentially undisciplined dogs or owners, in the fenced in dog run. The trails can be nice, if you don't mind keeping your dog in a leash . Beginning at the dog park, the trail to the Grand River is scenic, including the regular appearance of 2 nesting bald eagles. It's about a 3.5 mile hike roundtrip from the dog park. Seasonal bathrooms nearby the dog park and down by the river are well maintained. The trails in winter can be challenging. Footwear offering plenty of traction is encouraged.
Read more about Grand Ravines Dog ParkWe haven't been here in years. Zeppy and I volunteered for the Happy Hounds dog walks , years ago in which raised funds to build the dog park. This old man, partied waaaay to hard but had tons of fun doing so.
Read more about Rockford Dog ParkI enjoy bringing my children here having children with disabilities it is hard getting them outside at times but the way the landscape is set up the children really be running having a great time
Read more about Marquette ParkUpdate: the water spigot has been fixed! (It was broken for months.) There is not much shade in this dog park, except in the evening for an hour when the oak trees provide it from the apartment complex next door. They do offer cleanup bags for your dogs and there is enough room to run. Sometimes they have kiddie pools for the dogs. The dogs enjoy romping around and it's always great when a group of dogs show up!
