This park looks small on the map, but I spent the entire afternoon here and still didn’t explore everything. There are many benches where you can sit quietly and observe nature. I was lucky enough to see a chubby rabbit right after entering the park, and a huge bald eagle with a white head and tail shortly after. Before sunset the birds were singing everywhere, which made the whole experience feel magical. At one point a group of geese flew right over my head — loud, huge, and unforgettable. A local dog walker warned me that coyotes may appear in the area, so stay aware if you’re walking alone. Also be careful on the dirt trails away from the main crossings — they can be muddy and slippery. The lake area has a beautiful spot that would be perfect for sketching or painting. I entered from the tennis court side, and the park was very quiet with very few people around. A great place if you want peaceful nature time.

Nice little community park for the Amber Creek residents. Boasts a basketball court and playzone for the toddlers and younger ones. Zip lines seem to be the interetsing activity for the kids. Ample seating arrangements for the guardians to relax. Nice walkway for cycling and jogging.

There is so much to do at this venue. This is probably the city of Thornton's best park. They host year round events plus when there isn't anything going on you can bring your kiddos to run around until they're tired. They have several trails to walk, just about every sports field or playing court you can think of. The only thing you cant do outside is swim. That's what the rec center is for. Picnics, volleyball, running track, fishing, boating skate park, kite flying, cookouts, party celebrations, photography, dog walking, cycling, or just relaxing under a tree with a good book, or podcast. Only thing you can't do here is camping and over night parking.
